The Cryo 5 started the Zimmer line of coolers over 25 years ago. The Zimmer Cryo 6 has replaced it. The Cryo 5 had the ability to deliver cold air to the treatment area down to -30°C, with 6 adjustable fan settings. Like today’s models, the Cryo 5 required no consumables to operate, had an optional articulating arm for hands free operation, and had a long treatment hose.
You may upgrade or trade in your current Zimmer Cryo 5 unit for either a New Zimmer Cryo 6 or New Zimmer Cryo Mini unit. Please contact us to discuss our Trade-In Program.
You can purchase a Cryo 5 Hose and other common Cryo 5 Parts (Articulating Arm, Glass Top, Focusing Tip, Water Container, etc…) 24/7 at our online store. You may also contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.
All Zimmer chiller units have an air filter and condensation container. You should monitor and maintain these parts regularly. You should vacuum the Cryo 5 air filter, located on the rear of the unit, on a weekly basis. This will help remove dust particles on the filter and allow the unit to filter air more efficiently. Drain the condensation container, located on the bottom of the Cryo 6, side of the Cryo Mini and rear of the Cryo 5, as the unit’s condensation fills it up. A built-in sensor and warning light will alert you when you need to empty the container. To prevent mildew, consider adding two drops of a disinfectant. We have included further maintenance videos, tips and instructions in our Z Service section, found in the top navigation menu.
The Cryo 5 is no longer in production. The Cryo 6 model replaced it. The Cryo 6 and Cryo Mini chiller units are our current models in production. Please visit the Z Cryo Intro page for more information or contact us with any questions you might have.
